1.- Where can I sign-up?
On the race’s official website (www.10Kvalencia.com) or at www.sportmaniacs.com. Online sign-up will be available until the 9th of January at 14:00. You will also be able to get your running bib at the Runners Fair (Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th of January)
2.- What different types of sign-up are there and how much do they cost?
Premium sign-up, with a T-shirt (13€) and low-cost sign-up without a T-shirt (8€). From the 31st of December at 12:00 midday you´ll be outside the initial sign-up period and the prices will rise to 20€ (if the option is still available) and 10€ respectively.
3.- What is the charity partner of this year’s race?
The Asociacion Asperger Valencia- TEA. You can help them by donating an extra 3€ when you sign up.
4.- Will the premium sign-up, with a T-shirt, be available up until the end?
It will be available until the closing of sign-ups or once 10 000 sign ups have been reached. If this occurs, we will announce it on our social media accounts and on our official website.
5.- Will my running bib be personalised?
Yes, so long as you have completed this field when you did the sign-up, and so long as this has been done before the 31st of December at 12:00 midday.
6.- Is the size of the t-shirt guaranteed?
If you have opted for the premium sign-up package then yes and if you did this before the 13th of October then yes.
7.- Where can I collect my running bib?
The running bibs, T-shirts and running bags will be handed out at the RUNNERS FAIR that will take place on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th of January, from 10:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m., uninterruptedly. You can collect them both from the basement and next to the Carrefour Supermarket of the El Saler shopping centre.
8.- Can I pick up someone else’s running bib?
Yes, if you present a copy of their DNI or other document of identity or the proof of their sign up. An image on a smartphone or tablet will also be valid.
9.- Will I be able to change my personal details after I sign up?
Yes, at the runner’s fair at the sign up and amendments stand. Do NOT run with someone else’s details, and if you wish to change your assigned box you will have to document and bring proof of your best mark. The sum paid at sing up is non- refundable. However, you will have the opportunity to change your details at the Runners Fair (Sign-ups and amendments stall). The change of details at the fairs will have an extra cost of 3 €. Changing one’s club at the fair will have an extra cost of 1€.
10.- How can I Sign-up to participate in the media category or in the minimalist category?
You must go to the Sing-ups/amendments stall at the Runners Fair and once you’ve collected your running bib you can sign-up to that category.
11.- Can I collect my bib on the day of the race?
Yes, from 7:00 to 8:00 at the starting area, next to the clock room. This is aimed at runners who are coming from outside Valencia city and can justify this or give another reason of importance. By 8:00 the service will be closed, and you will no longer be able to collect your bib. In this case you will only be able to collect your bib (not the running bag) and T-shirt (if you have the premium sign-up).
12.- How can I sign-up to the Milla, the Milla Menores or the 10Kids?
Via our website at the Sign-up section, the Milla costs 3€ and the children’s activities cost 1€ that will be given as a donation to Asperger Valencia. You will be able to collect the bibs at the Runners Fair or on race day at the starting area, next to the Carrefour igloo, from 10:00 to 11:00.
13.- Can I be a volunteer?
Yes, of course, we need you. You can sign-up via a quick application form on our website and experience the race from a different perspective.
14.- This year, are there free training groups?
Yes, with 2 groups: Performance with Marta Fernandez de Castro and Beginners with Raquel Landin. If you didn´t sign-up to them at the time you can turn up to them (but you will not receive the token T-shirt). All the information about the training groups is available on our website in the “Training” section.
15.- This year Will there be a breakfast run?
Yes, there will, on Saturday the 12thJanuary…. With a few changes, we’ll keep you updated.
16.- What time does the race start?
ATTENTION! This year the start time has been brought forward by half an hour and well begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday the 13th of January. We will get started to the rhythm of Chimo Bayo from 8:40 a.m. onwards.
17.- Where will the race start?
The start line is at the Paseo de la Alameda (Alameda walkway) at the height of the Puente de la Exposicion (Calatrava’s Bridge). The finish line will be in the same place.
18.- Is the running circuit certified?
Yes, Super-certified! The new course is flatter, faster, and consists of 10 000m, a course which has been certified by R.E.F.A/IAAF. The race appears in REFA’s international Calendar.
19.- Which will my starting “box” be?
The colour of your bib will indicate which box you’re in, depending on the expected mark you gave when registering of the race- In the case of aspiring to get a time under 45’, you must attach evidence of your mark to the registration application.
20.- What wave will I be in?
There will be five wave starts, each one separated by 4 minutes. Your bib will specify what your start time is and each one is a different colour. The first wave will be for the Adapted Categories. From 9:03 a.m. there will be 5 wave starts each one 4 minutes apart.
21.- What time will the Milla and the Milla Menores start?
The start time of the Milla will be at 11:00 a.m., After that, at approximately 11:10 a.m. the Milla Menores will start.
22.- And the 10Kids?
The 10Kids will take place on the same day as the race, Sunday the 13th of January, at the same spot Paseo de la Alameda from 11:30 a.m. onwards.
23.- Will there be a Bike Park on the day of the race?
Yes, it will be located next to the cloakrooms and sponsored by Coca-Cola and their campaign #Eventswithagoodenvironment. Bring your own bike lock. The organisation will take responsibility for any bikes that are not securely locked.
24.- Will there be a cloakroom on the day of the race?
Yes, there is a free cloakroom from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., It will be located next to the Kiosk La Pergola. You will also be able to use this service at the Runners Fair. You will be able to leave your running bag when you pick up your running bib and we will transport it to the race, so that on the morning of the race you will be able to warm up directly from your home or hotel and avoid traffic or parking problems. If you use this service, you will receive a token from Coca-Cola.
25.- Is there a women’s stand?
Yes, next to the cloakrooms, where you will be able to get changes before and after the race. It will be open from 8 until 11:30 a.m.
26.- How can I use the children’s play area?
You will have to have registered your child previously via our website at “sign-ups” (inscriptions). Your can leave them from 8:00 a.m. (until 12:00 p.m.) and pay one euro as a charitable contribution towards Asperger Valencia at the entrance giving their name. It will be located under the Puente de la Exposición (starting area)
27.- Where will I be able to see the classification?
On the race’s website (www.10kvalencia.com) or at Sportmaniacs (www.sportmaniacs.com).
28.- Where will I be able to see photos of the race?
On our website, where we will upload the links to the photographer’s photo galleries who will make sure these get to us. Also, at www.corriendovoy.com (start-line, Km5. And finish-line) and on Facebook and Running CV
29.- Will the race be streamed live?
Yes, your family and friends will be able to follow the race live on our website www.10kvalencia.com . Furthermore, our friends from Maratón Radio will also be live from 8:30 a.m. onwards.
