• The first event of the year in Valencia City of Running offers several promotions before the official opening of registrations in July

Valencia, 10-06-2019.- The 10K Valencia Ibercaja kicks off its 2020 edition offering several promotions as a prelude to the official opening of the general registrations, which will take place on the 13th of July at 10:00h. The first race of the year in Valencia City of Running is on its XII edition, which will be held on Sunday 12th January 2020.
For one month, from the 12th of June to the 12th of July, interested runners can access a pack that includes the registration for the 10K Valencia Ibercaja 2020 and the 6th Half Marathon of Persimmon of L’Alcúdia (6th of October 2019) for 18€. Both include the t-shirts.
This pack complements other promotions carried out previously such as the Global Running Day of Valencia City of Running (June 5th) or the Runner Fair of the 15K Nocturna Valencia (June 7th and 8th), where participants could benefit from a discount of 3€ in their Premium Registration, and were able to acquire their bib and t-shirt for 8€ (day license RFEA 3€ not included).
Challenge Overcome Promotion
Likewise, during the same period ( 12th June-12th July), the 10K Valencia Ibercaja also offers the most loyal participants the “Reto Superado” promotion. All those runners who improved their 2019 record compared to the 2018 edition, will also have a 3€ discount on their Premium Inscription with New Balance t-shirt for the 10K Valencia Ibercaja 2020 edition.
New milestones for 2020
The race, organised by the 10K Valencia Athletics Club, will seek to surpass the records reached in 2018, when a total of 10,838 people crossed the finish line on the Paseo de la Alameda. The race fights to continue improving in quality, services and status as befits one with the IAAF Bronze Label.
The 10K Valencia Ibercaja celebrated its fastest edition last January 13, becoming the 10km race with the Top 10 fastest athletes in the history of Spain. The first record of the day came at the hand of Chala Ketema (Ethiopia), the 2019 winner who surpassed the best record of the circuit with his time 27:23.
The race winner, Tsehay Gemechu, also beat the female circuit record, stopping the clock at 30:15. Another of the milestones of the day came at the hand of the athlete Trihas Gebre, who achieved the Spanish record of 10K female crossing the finish line in 31:39. For his part, Martin Fiz achieved the challenge he set himself by reaching the best world record of 10K M55 with a time of 31:36.
