With just four months to go until the celebration of its 15th edition, which will take place on January 15, 2023, the 10K Valencia Ibercaja reaches 6,000 registered runners.
Bib numbers are still available to the general public in different price brackets, until the 12,000 available for this edition are sold out. Since last April, the race opened its registrations with a "Loyalty Promo" aimed exclusively at those registered in its last edition, the fastest 10K in the world continues in its second price bracket (15 euros), which will be maintained until the number 8,000 bib number is reached.
From bib number 8,001 onwards, registration will cost 18 euros. All registrations can be made through the official website of the race.
More than 27% of the registrants are women.
Among the novelties of this edition, the 10K Valencia Ibercaja offers the option to choose between three genders during the registration process: female, male and non-binary. To date, 27.25% of the people registered are women and 14 people have opted for the non-binary option.
It should also be noted that all the Autonomous Communities are already represented among the runners coming from outside the Valencian Community, highlighting Madrid and Castilla La Mancha. And there are nineteen nationalities present so far in this 15th edition, highlighting over the rest United Kingdom, Italy and France.
In addition, the average age of those registered is 42 years old and about 450 runners have stated in the registration process that they are debutants in the distance, i.e., that the January 15 race will be their first 10 km race.
Mizuno, sports brand of the 10K
The 10K Valencia Ibercaja returns to trust, for the third consecutive year, in the sports brand Mizuno to dress the runners with the official technical shirt. The Japanese sports equipment company founded in 1906 in Osaka (Japan), which already accompanied the runners in the last editions of 2021 and 2022 of the fastest 10K in the world, has an extensive relationship with the race for years.
The race director, Alex Aparicio, said that "we are proud to have one more year with the support of this technical brand that we love. Their product together with our design never leaves anyone indifferent, and this year we are working to improve ourselves, as we always try to do in the 10K Valencia Ibercaja".
"In the coming weeks," continued Aparicio, "we will unveil the design and color of the jersey for the 2023 edition, as well as some other surprises we are preparing for January 15.
