REGULATIONS 5K VALENCIA VAMOS 2025

Art.1. The C. Athletics 10K VALENCIA organizes, with the collaboration of the Municipal Sports Foundation of the City Council of Valencia, the 3rd edition of the 5K VALENCIA VAMOS race (hereinafter 5K VLC2025) with a limit of 1,500 runners.. It will take place in the city of Valencia on Sunday January 12, 2025 on a 100% urban circuit and on asphalt, with start and finish in the Paseo de la Alameda. The start time will be at 08:15 hours. Participants will be ordered according to the accredited or expected mark throughout the registration process.

Art.2. To 5K VLC2025The 5-kilometer circuit, with a 5-kilometer circuit, will be accessible to all persons who wish to participate, federated or not, as long as they are 18 years old on the day of the race. The circuit will have all the kilometer points indicated with a signaling panel. The maximum duration of the race for each participant will be 40 minutes from the time of departure. 

Art.3. All participants will be covered by an accident and liability insurance policy taken out by C. Atletismo 10K Valencia. Those arising from latent illness, imprudence, negligence, failure to comply with the law, etc. will be excluded. Also excluded will be those produced by displacements to and/or from the place where the race takes place.

Art.4. Registration and prices. 

The registration process for the 5K VLC2025 will open on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 12:00h and will end on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 23:59h or when the established bib limit of 1,500 runners is reached.

Registration deadlines and prices*:

  1. From registration 1 to 750: 8 euros
  2. From registration 751 to 1500: 12 euros
  3. After the deadline or registrations at the Race Fair (subject to availability of bibs): 17 Euros

* These prices do not include the small cost of management of the registration platform. Registrations include bib + chip and an official commemorative technical garment of the race. Registrations after the deadline or at the Race Fair would NOT include technical garment, only bib + chip.

IMPORTANT: The size of the technical garment is NOT guaranteed, although the organization will try to ensure that most of the participants have the size requested in the registration process. Size changes cannot be made at the Race Fair.

Solidarity contribution. 

The different registration sections will have the possibility of making a SOLIDARITY CONTRIBUTION with a voluntary increase of 3€, 5€ or 10€, amount that the organization will donate in full on behalf of all participants who choose this option to the Association Against Cancer in Valencia.


Art. 5. Race Fair / Race bib pick up / Authorizations / Registration data editing / Cloakroom

  1. The race bibs and technical garments can be picked up, unless force majeure makes it impossible, during the two days prior to the race, Friday January 10 and Saturday January 11, at the Race Fair (place and time to be determined).
  2. In case of not being able to pick up the race bib, the participant may authorize another person to pick it up on his behalf, for which it will be necessary to present a copy of his ID card or supporting document (driver's license, passport) or the proof of registration. You can present the image of any of the above documents on your cell phone. It is not necessary to present it on paper.
  3. The delivery of bib-chip will be provided the same day of the race in the starting area up to 60 min. before the start of the race. IMPORTANT: This service is only available for runners who come from outside Valencia and metropolitan area and can justify it with documents. Once the race is over, the race bibs will NOT be delivered or sent, nor the technical garment, nor the gifts that may be included in the runner's bag.

Editing your registration/return/insurance data: 

You will be able to edit some data of your registration until December 10, 2024 (23:59h), free of charge, in your Private Zone in the registration platform. You will not be able to edit data such as name and surname or ID; but you will be able to edit the size of the technical garment or the name of your club or your bib number. But, please, check your data (including email and your club name). After December 11, it will NOT be possible to make any changes to your registration, not even at the Race Fair.

Checkroom. 

On the day of the race you will be able to use the free checkroom available from 07:30h at the start/finish area. Remember to take your checkroom sticker that will be given to you when you pick up your race bib.


Art.6. Registration cancellation insurance.

During the registration process, a cancellation insurance can be contracted. This insurance will reimburse you the amount paid for your registration*, provided that it is requested 72 hours before the event (Thursday, January 9 at 8:15 a.m.) and there is a justified reason that is within the clauses contemplated in the insurance conditions.

*The cancellation insurance that the organization makes available to participants is a RIBÉSALAT insurance, which will reimburse 100% of the amount paid for registration (except for the cost of insurance and platform management fees).

If you contract the cancellation insurance during the registration process and want to request a refund, you must send (always 72 hours before the start of the event) the refund request to info@10kvalencia.com and gestion.cliente@ribesalat.com or by phone at 0034 932 410 050.

Indicate in the mail:

  • Registration ID by attaching the proof of registration.
  • Reason for reimbursement and supporting documents.
  • Indicate in the subject line: REGISTRATION RETURN 2025.

Once the file has been opened, the broker will receive a voucher and will be informed of the next steps to be taken. In case of doubts, RibéSalat can be contacted by email at gestion.cliente@ribesalat.com or by calling 93 241 50 50.

IMPORTANT:

1.- The insurance can only be contracted at the time of registration and cannot be added at a later date.

2.- If you cannot run and you have not taken out this insurance, you will NOT be able to ask for a refund of the registration fee. Only in the event that the race has to be postponed or suspended due to force majeure and beyond the control of the organization (including health regulations), the organization will offer to all registered participants the possibility to keep the registration for the new date or request a refund of the registration fee. The latter option of requesting a refund of the money will carry a cost of 3 € as a management fee.


Art.7. Classifications and Trophies.

The organization plans to award a commemorative trophy for the first 3 finishers, both male and female, in the General Category (total number of participants). 

* Trophies will NOT be sent after the event. 

Likewise, the following classifications, for which there will be NO commemorative trophy, will be published for information purposes only:

  1. U-20: 18 and 19 years old
  2. U-23: 20, 21 and 22 years old
  3. SENIOR: 23-34 years old
  4. M35 / F35: 35-39 years old
  5. M40 / F40: 40-44 years old
  6. M45 / F45: 45-49 years old
  7. M50 / F50: 50-54 years old
  8. M55 / F55: 55-59 years old
  9. M60 / F60: 60-64 years
  10. M65 / F65: 65-69 years old
  11. M70 / F70: 70-74 years old
  12. M75 / F75: 75-79 years old
  13. M80 / F80: 80 + years
  14. Non-binary

All the ages indicated must be reached on the day of the test.


Art.8. Violations and disqualifications.

The organization reserves the right to disqualify any runner who commits any irregularity:

  • The bibs given by the organization are personal and non-transferable, and must be placed on the chest without manipulation or folding. The control chip is also personal and non-transferable. Failure to comply with this article will be cause for disqualification.
  • Runners who are not registered or run without a bib/chip will not be admitted by the organization, preventing them from having access to the race in defense of the rights of those who are legally registered.
  • It is not allowed to run with a dorsal/chip of a third party (without having made the change of ownership or carrying it concealed) or falsified.
  • It is not allowed to run with a bib/chip that does not correspond to the race bib/chip.
  • Any athlete who does not complete the entire course will be disqualified. The organization reserves the right to prevent the registration in the future and to inform other races of the procedure of those athletes disqualified for not having completed the full 5 kilometers of the course.
  • The medical service of the competition is empowered to withdraw during the race any athlete who shows a bad physical condition.
  • Disqualified runners will not be eligible for prizes and trophies.
  • Likewise, unauthorized vehicles will not be allowed access.
  • It is not allowed (in application of Art. 144 of the RIA) to run accompanied by non-participants in the same, whether on foot or in any type of vehicle, or carry children in arms or in strollers, nor is it allowed to run with animals, carts, etc.. This prohibition extends to the entire race and especially at the finish line, being its non-observance grounds for possible disqualification.

Given the serious damage that this would cause to the organization and the other runners of the race, in case of access to the race in violation of the established conditions of access or any irregularity is committed, the organization reserves the right to take appropriate action, in accordance with the applicable legislation. In this sense, the corresponding civil, criminal or administrative actions will be initiated to demand the responsibility of the offender.

In the event that the infringement becomes known after the event has taken place, appropriate action shall be taken at the time the infringement becomes known.

Art.9. The course will be properly signposted by the organization and there will be a liquid refreshment post in the post-finish area.

The medical services and ambulances, coordinated by the 5K VLC2025 medical team, will be located at the start/finish area and closing the race together with the broom car. Additional ambulances will be located along the course to ensure the urgent transfer in case of need.

Any runner with medical problems (allergy, special attention, etc.) must state it on the back of the race bib or in the "Observations" section when registering. You can also let the organization know at the "Solutions" desk at the Race Fair and at the start of the race until minutes before the start of the race.

Art.11. All participants, by the fact of starting the race, accept these Rules and Regulations, and in case of doubt or if any situation arises that is not reflected in the same, the Organizing Committee will be in charge.

Art.12. 

Participants authorize Divina Pastora Seguros, Mutua de Seguros (hereinafter, Divina Seguros) to receive commercial and advertising communications regarding products, services, offers and news, as well as for the contracting of products and services of the same. These communications may be sent by any means, including electronic. 

In relation to Divina Seguros, you may revoke your consent to receive commercial and/or advertising information at any time by contacting Divina Seguros at the following e-mail address protecciondedatos@divinaseguros.com or to the postal address: P.O. Box 1280, 46080 Valencia, with the reference "Personal Data Protection". 

You have the right of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition, among others, under the terms established in current legislation, by writing to any of the addresses mentioned above.


FINAL CONSIDERATION:

The organization reserves the right to extend or modify these regulations, if deemed necessary for security, logistical or other reasons.
