- The race, which is approaching 10,000 participants, opens registrations for its children's races, which will be held on Sunday 9 January after the 10K.
Valencia,14-12-2021.- The 10K Valencia Ibercaja resumes its children's races, which could not be held in the last edition due to the health situation, so in 2022 the race will once again hold its traditional 10Kids Valencia, for which those interested can already sign up.
The 10Kids will take place on the same Sunday, January 9th, after the 10K Valencia Ibercaja. The organisers plan to start the children's races at 11:45 am, with an official vehicle, stopwatch and starting and finishing arches identical to those of the main event. The start will take place in order of categories, from youngest to oldest.
The races will start with the "Chupetín" category for children in arms, pushchairs or hand in hand with an adult (300m), followed by the race for children from 3 to 5 years old (400m), from 6 to 8 years old (600m), from 9 to 10 (800m) and from 11 to 13 (1.000), to finish with the oldest, the runners from 14 to 16 years old who will run a circuit of 1.500m.
100% solidarity registrations
Registration for these races is now open on the official website of the race (https://10kvalencia.com/inscripcion-10kids-valencia/) at a price of 1 euro per race bib, which will be donated in its entirety to the charity of this 2022 edition: AMES, Asociación Miastenia de España.
The organisers have set a limit of 1,000 bibs for all categories, and the registration fee will be paid when picking up the bibs at the Runner's Fair, which will take place during the two previous days (Friday 7 and Saturday 8 January) at the La Petxina Sports-Cultural Complex.
According to the race director, Álex Aparicio, the aim of bringing back the 10Kids Valencia is none other than "to motivate the little ones to do sport and specifically to run, as many of them watch it every day at home and it's what they like the most. But above all, to make them enjoy and participate in the big party of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja, applying, of course, all the relevant safety measures".
Nearly 10,000 registered for the 10k
The 10K Valencia Ibercaja, which opened registration for its 14th edition in mid-October, is already approaching 10,000 participants. The fastest 10K in the world, which is aiming for more records this January 9th, is in its last stretch of registrations, which will close when reaching the limit established for this year: 12,000 bibs.
