A new historical start of the year of running in Valencia. The 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun has once again lived a day to remember by achieving a double record on January 12. In its 17th edition, the fastest 10K in the world has been crowned with the male records in Europe and Spain.
Thus, the two world records already held by the race are now joined by the European and Spanish men's records. The winner of the race, the Swedish athlete Andreas Almgren, is the one who has managed to win the European 10K record by entering the finish line in 26:53, breaking the record of the French Etienne Daguinos (27:04, Lille 2024).
