The 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun has raised a total of 9,664 euros thanks to the donations made by 2,600 runners, 10K and 5K, during the registration process. Thus, 15.76% of those registered chose to contribute their grain of sand to the solidarity cause of this edition.
The 100% of this collection has been entirely destined to the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Valencia, solidarity entity of the races that will channel these contributions for social aid launched by the same to help cancer patients and their families affected by the dana.
The organization has delivered this solidarity collection on behalf of the runners to Contra el Cáncer in Valencia. Specifically, the check has been delivered to its president Tomás Trénor by Álex Aparicio, director of the 10K Valencia, who have been accompanied by Enrique Ibáñez, director of the Central Office of Ibercaja in Valencia, Álex Heras, head of Valencia Ciudad del Running, and Amparo Menéndez, leader of Running in Decathlon Valencia.
During the award ceremony, the organization has recalled that the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Valencia will continue to be the charity of the races during the next two editions.
This alliance makes it possible for the participants of the best 10K in the world to continue running against cancer, doing their bit to help the Association in its essential work for both people suffering from this disease and their families.
