Registration for the January 10, 2027 edition of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun and the 5K Valencia Ibercaja is still open:
The world's fastest 10K and Spain's best 10K in its last five editions, to be held on Sunday, January 10, 2027, has offered all runners a starting price of €15 per bib for the first 5,000 registrations.
From registration number 5,001 to 10,000, race numbers will cost €18; from 10,001 to 15,000, they will cost €22; and from 15,001 to 16,000, i.e. the last 1,000 bibs, they will cost €25. Registration will close on Sunday, January 3, 2027, or when 16,000 registrations are reached, which is the limit set for the next edition.
It should be noted that in its last edition, the Valencia 10K was sold out two months before it took place, a milestone that could be repeated this time around.
Likewise, on its first day of registration for the 2027 edition (Tuesday, February 10), the race exceeded 10,000 registered runners, reaching thethird price bracketjust a few hours after the registration process opened.
RFEA Day License: increases from €3 to €4
During the registration process, as this is a race included in the National Calendar, runners must pay an extra fee for a mandatory Day License, which is imposed by and goes directly to the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.
On January 17, the Governing Board of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, at the proposal of its Executive Committee, approved a €1 increase in the Day License, raising it from €3 to €4 for 10-kilometer road races. It should be noted that this agreement was reached despite the contrary opinion and firm opposition of the majority of the members of the Organizing Committee, but the Valencia 10K is obliged to apply it as it belongs to both the National Calendar and the World Athletics International Calendar.
5K Valencia Ibercaja
Meanwhile, registration for the Valencia Ibercaja 5K, which celebrates its fifth edition on January 10, 2027, is still open at a price of €8 per bib until the first 1,000 bibs are sold.
From registration number 1,001 to 2,000, the race number will cost €12. The last 500 race numbers, from 2,000 to 2,500, will cost €15. Registration will close on Sunday, January 3, 2027, or when 2,500 registrations are reached, which is the limit set for the next edition.
For both the 10K and 5K races, and for the third consecutive year, registrations will include a free official technical garment bearing the KIPRUN logo, the race's official sports brand.
Optional medal for 10K and 5K runners
As was the case in this latest edition, runners who register for the 10K will have the option to purchase a commemorative medal for an additional cost of €7, with their time engraved on it.
However, in the next edition, as a new feature, 5K runners will also be able to purchase a commemorative medal for the same price and with the same services as those running the 10K.
Solidarity contribution against cancer
Likewise, the different registration periods for both distances will offer the possibility of making a 100% charitable contribution with a voluntary increase of €3, €5, or €10, which the organization will donate in full on behalf of all participants who choose this option to the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Valencia.
The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Valencia has been the charity partner for the races since 2024, when it was announced that it would be so for four consecutive editions, including the next one in 2027.
