The 10K Valencia Ibercajaorganized by the C. de Atletismo 10K Valencia, has been chosen by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) as the best race in its distance in Spain in 2022. In this race, which took place on January 9, 2022, athletes Daniel Ebenyo and Norah Jeruto achieved two of the best world records of the year with 26:58 and 30:35.
Thus, for the 5th consecutive year, the RFEA has once again awarded the organization of the race that every year opens the running calendar in Valencia. This recognition has been delivered at the Gala of Spanish Athletics, held this Saturday, March 18 in the Goyeneche auditorium at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee in Madrid.
On behalf of the best 10K in Spain, the members of the Organization Agustín López and Marcela de Pereda were in charge of receiving this award on behalf of all the people who make this race possible, which will celebrate its 16th edition on January 14, 2024.
Valencia, the city of running
In addition, the 10K Valencia Ibercaja shared awards in this category as the best organizers of road races in Spain, with the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon and the Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Valencia Half Marathon, which have also been awarded, in their respective distances, as the best 21K and 42K races in the country in their 2022 editions.
Thus, Valencia is confirmed, one more year, as the (best) city of running. Congratulations to the Valencia Half Marathon and Marathon, to all the other winners and, above all, to each and every one of the people who make possible the celebration of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja.
