The 10K VALENCIA IBERCAJA by Kiprun has celebrated this Saturday, the day before the big race, its children's races with about 700 participants, who have been able to enjoy the most solidary 10Kids.
The 10Kids Valencia Quirónsalud was held in this edition with some new features. The races for the little ones took place during the morning of Saturday, January 11 at the athletics tracks of the Estadi del Túria.
From 11:00 a.m. hundreds of runners, aged between 0 and 16 years, have started to take the start, who have enjoyed a circuit of between 300 and 15,000 meters, depending on their category.
All of them, specifically 627 participants, have been encouraged and chanted by the members of the running club Velas Maraton, which in this edition have been responsible for helping the race with volunteer work. In addition, our speaker Joxe Fernandez has not missed the party and has not stopped encouraging each of the little runners at the start and finish line.
In fact, a medal was waiting for them at the finish line as recognition for their effort from our Healthcare Partner, Quirónsalud.
The most supportive 10Kids
The proceeds from the sale of the bibs, a total of 1,891 euros, has been entirely allocated to the platform "Mueve un dedo por Miguel", through the Association "Por esa sonrisa" to help Miguel, a young 18 year old paraplegic from Albal (Valencia) affected by DANA, who lives connected to a machine to be able to breathe.
So, each of the young runners who have enjoyed the 10Kids have also helped another young person affected by the tragedy that devastated dozens of Valencian villages last October. On behalf of the organization... THANK YOU.
