SOLD OUT 10K
The 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun is once again sold out. For the third consecutive year, the race has sold out all 16,000 available bibs, even though the event—scheduled for January 10, 2027—is still three months away.
The runners' response once again highlights the enormous excitement generated by one of the major events on the national running calendar.
The 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun will thus enter its 19th edition with the maximum number of participants already filled, after having also sold out its race numbers for the 2025 and 2026 editions.
This latest sell-out reaffirms the drawing power of an event that brings together thousands of recreational runners from around the world and hundreds of elite athletes who don't want to miss it in Valencia every year.
“Selling out registrations earlier than ever before is a huge source of satisfaction; there’s a lot of passion behind it, but above all, it’s the result of the excellent work of an organization that is the driving force behind the world’s best 10K. These next three months leading up to the second weekend of the year will be hectic, and our goal is nothing less than to offer participants and the city the best possible experience in every way,” said Álex Aparicio, race director.
“We’re runners too, which is why we want to thank all the registered participants for choosing our race once again to start the year off running and, above all, for allowing us to continue growing and improving with each edition,” said Aparicio, who added that “not only for the organization, but also for the city, the sponsors, the volunteers, and the suppliers—for everyone—this represents a huge responsibility and a source of motivation. As many as 16,000 reasons—and therefore responsibilities—to keep working so that on January 10 we can experience another great celebration of running in Valencia.”
Although the 10K has already filled its 16,000 spots, runners who want to be part of this great event still have an option: the Valencia Ibercaja 5K, which will also take place on January 10, 2027, before the main race.
Registration for the 5-kilometer race remains open, with race numbers still available at the second price tier. This means that those who were unable to secure a spot in the 10K can still participate and enjoy the atmosphere of one of the year’s major sporting events.
Registration for the 5K will remain open until January 3 or until the 2,500-runner capacity for the next race is reached.
On January 10, Valencia will once again become a gathering place for thousands of runners with the joint celebration of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun and the 5K Valencia Ibercaja.
With the 10K completely sold out for the third consecutive year—and more than three months before the race takes place—the organizers are already in the final stretch of preparations for this year’s event, which will once again fill the streets of Valencia with runners.
