València (06-02-23) The 10K Valencia Ibercaja has presented a trophy as a way of thanking the Office of the Voluntariat Esportiu de València. In this way, the race organizers wanted to recognize the dedication and work of the hundreds of volunteers who for more than 10 years have made it possible for the race to be carried out in the best possible way.
Leandro Ródenas, coordinator of this Office, under the Municipal Sports Foundation of the City of Valencia, has been in charge, along with some of the volunteers who do not miss the event, to collect this recognition from the hand of the director of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja, Alex Aparicio.
"I am not discovering anything if I tell you that volunteers in general and those of the Office in particular, are a key piece for the celebration of our event, and that of many others in the city," said Aparicio. "Thanks to their work, dedication and selfless dedication we can enjoy this great festival every year. This recognition - he continued - is more than deserved, and with it we just wanted to give them back something of everything they give us in each edition".
In each race, the volunteers give their all both during the days before the Runner's Fair and during the hard day of the race. With functions as essential as the delivery of the bib or water at the refreshment posts.
The award ceremony took place at the Quirónsalud Mercado de Colón medical center in Valencia. Quirónsalud has joined this year as Healthcare Partner to the 10K, being its new medical center the chosen venue for this meeting and Joaquín Montenegro, manager of this center and of the Quirónsalud Hospital in Valencia, the host of the event.
In addition to Álex Aparicio, director of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja, José Manuel Brotons, creator of the Sports Volunteering Office of the Municipal Sports Foundation, José Gil, provincial director of Valencia Ibercaja, main sponsor of the race, and Juan Miguel Gómez, director of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, among other collaborators and sponsors such as Hyundai Autiber Motor, Official Vehicle of the race, attended the ceremony.
