The 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun, organized by the C. de Atletismo 10K Valencia, has been chosen by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) as the best race in its distance in Spain in 2023, when the Ethiopian athlete Yehualaw broke the world record.
Thus, for the 4th consecutive year, the RFEA has once again awarded the organization of the race that every year opens the running calendar in Valencia and that holds the double World Record with the marks of Rhonex Kipruto (2020 - 26:24) and Agnes Jebet (2024 - 28:46). This recognition has been delivered at the Gala of Spanish Athletics, held this Saturday, April 27 in the Goyeneche auditorium at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee in Madrid.
On behalf of the best 10K in Spain, the race director himself, Álex Aparicio, was in charge of receiving this award on behalf of all the people who make the race possible, which is already preparing its next edition on January 12, 2025.
In fact, the 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun opened the registration process for its 2025 edition last April 12, and in a few days reached 5,000 registered runners and moved on to its second leg.
In addition, the 10K Valencia Ibercaja shared awards in this category as the best organizers of road races in Spain, with the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Half Marathon and Marathon, organized by the S.D. Correcaminos, which have also been awarded, in their respective distances, as the best 21K and 42K races in the country in their 2023 editions.
Thus, Valencia confirms, once again, as the (best) city for running, living up to its nickname.
Congratulations to all the winners and, above all, to the runners and to each and every one of the people who make these great races possible.
