Yalemzerf Yehualaw is already in the city of running. Upon her arrival in Valencia this morning, the Ethiopian athlete was greeted with applause and flowers. And no wonder. Yalemzerf holds the women's 10K world record (29:14, Castellón 2022) and will be at the starting line of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja this Sunday, January 15.
The athlete, who will wear bib number 1, arrives with a lot of strength and desire, especially after not being able to participate in the last edition of the 10K for testing positive for COVID just a few days before the race.
